I don’t usually like to ask people for help but when I started my own business I had to. It may feel a bit awkward to ask for money from someone you know but you can always offer an equity share to make it even. Borrowing money to be returned is different from asking someone to become an angel investor. As an angel, the person will be able to become a stakeholder and you can assign some authority to him to make them feel recognised. However, you cannot just ask anyone to do it.
