Gold Coast and NQ’s tourism recovery to be slower than Brisbane’s

The Gold Coast and tropical north Queensland hotel tourism sectors will not return to pre-pandemic levels before 2023, and will take longer to recover than Brisbane, new research reveals.

Deloitte’s tourism and hotel market outlook report released on Friday found Brisbane is likely to see hotel occupancy rates returning to 2019 levels by 2023.
